Hubert Clavichord

Based on the 1764 clavichord by the German maker Hubert in the Russell collection in Edinburgh. Double-fretted from f. Compass Cf3 (4 1/2 octaves). As above, in solid oak, wax finish. Pearwood naturals, ebony sharps.

Copy of the 1775 unfretted German clavichord by J.H.Silbermann in the Nurnberg musical instrument museum. Compass FF - f3 (5 octaves). The original materials are used:- case in oak, sharps ebony, naturals. Finish - to be discussed with client.
